Orioles
Orioles are striking orange and black songbirds that return to Canada each spring and are among the most vibrant and rewarding backyard visitors. Their diet shifts seasonally, but they are especially attracted to sweet offerings during migration and breeding periods. Orioles can be drawn to your yard by offering fresh orange halves, grape jelly, or sugar water placed near trees and shrubs where they naturally perch and forage.
FEEDERS: Orioles prefer orange-coloured feeders equipped with shallow cups for grape jelly or nectar. The bright color enhances visibility and attraction, while the shallow dish design allows for comfortable perching and easy feeding.
