The Elskamp family has been farming the rich black soil around Woodlands, Manitoba, since the 1950s. Today, third-generation farmer Aaron Elskamp and his wife, Stephanie, plant, grow and harvest sunflower seeds and grains that they use to produce nutritious products for their company, Pick of the Birds.
Active bird feeders themselves, the Elskamp family enjoys the year-round fun of watching wild birds fly into their farmyard and feed outside their window.
Pick of the Birds has expanded its offerings to include hummingbird nectar, suet blends, and handcrafted seed bells — thoughtfully selected to support a wider variety of backyard birds throughout the seasons. These additions complement our seed blends and provide new ways to attract and nourish birds visiting your feeders.
Migrating birds have skills far beyond any human ability! Birds don’t use compasses, calendars or phones to tell them when and where to go!
