The birds you feed will benefit from our nutritious, high-quality products, whether they're living in your yard or just passing through. Choose Manitoba-grown black oil sunflower seeds — a favourite of nearly every bird — or more species-specific mixes to attract the widest variety of songbirds.
The Elskamp family has been farming the rich black soil around Woodlands, Manitoba, since the 1950s. Today, third-generation farmer Aaron Elskamp and his wife, Stephanie, plant, grow and harvest sunflower seeds and grains that they use to produce nutritious products for their company, Pick of the Birds.
Active bird feeders themselves, the Elskamp family enjoys the year-round fun of watching wild birds fly into their farmyard and feed outside their window.
Pick of the Birds' production facility is in a turn-of-the-20th-century warehouse in Winnipeg's historic Exchange District — once the centre of Canada's grain industry. Constructed in the 1920s for the T. Eaton Company, a part of the building now serves as our processing and packaging hub.
